Reading the field maps
In the field maps, fields marked with a red border are natural grass, while those marked with a blue border are artificial turf.
To make reading the field maps easier, the following markings have been used:
-
Mini fields 5v5 (for age groups 7–9 years old): A lowercase letter is added after the field number, e.g., 12a.
-
Small fields 8v8 (for age groups 10–13 years old): A capital letter is added after the field number, e.g., 44A.
-
Large fields 11v11 (for B13 and age groups 14–18 years old): Only the field number is used, e.g., 5.
During the tournament week, the same field may be used for different field sizes. However, the number remains the same, and only the letters change. (For example, 7A and 7B => 7).

Grass field regulations
A significant portion of Helsinki Cup matches are played on the natural grass fields of the City of Helsinki. The matches themselves put a considerable strain on the grass and the fields continue to be heavily used even after the tournament. However, the biggest factor contributing to field wear and tear is spectators watching the games from the grass areas. We kindly ask team managers to instruct parents regarding proper field etiquette.
The following guidelines have been established for watching matches:
-
The grass areas between fields are reserved only for substitute players and coaches.
-
On fields with spectator stands, spectators must watch the matches from the stands.
-
If there are no stands, spectators should remain on the edges of the grass area.
-
If field maintenance staff have set specific restrictions for grass usage, these must be strictly followed.
-
Water bottles must be emptied outside the field area.
