Lotta Peitsi Appointed as the New CEO of Helsinki Cup

3.11.2025

The Board of Helsinki Cup has appointed Lotta Peitsi as the new CEO of Helsinki Cup Oy. She has served as Acting CEO since the spring and officially assumed the position in September.

Peitsi knows the tournament inside out. She has been involved in Helsinki Cup’s operations for more than ten years, giving her a strong understanding of the event’s development and its significance for Finnish junior football.

Helsinki Cup is a summer highlight and a major employer: the tournament provides summer jobs for around 400 young people and brings nearly 30,000 players and their families to Helsinki. The event fills the city’s hotels and services, offers visibility for dozens of partners, and brings an international atmosphere to summer in Helsinki as teams arrive from all over the world.

“I’m delighted to continue building on the strong legacy of the tournament and to contribute my expertise to its further development. My goal is to take the event forward both in terms of organization and experience,” Peitsi says.

At the heart of Helsinki Cup remains the joy of football and the shared moments it creates. Having played in the tournament herself, Peitsi fondly remembers the atmosphere on the fields and the time spent with friends. Now, she wants to ensure that future generations can experience the same unforgettable memories.
